This book was written and illustrated by 9 year old Jake. It is a story about a day in the life of his sweet little owl family. It's the perfect read for wee ones and will offer simple ideas to other Mama Owls 'who' love to spend their days keeping their little owlets busy and engaged.

The story came to be because Jake has a little sister that just doesn't like to sleep. And when you're the mom of a baby that doesn't like to sleep...you have a lot of time on your hands to think and come up with all kinds of ideas. Though mom came up with the idea of the book; Jake took full control with writing and illustrating it. From picking fonts and colors to the story line, he made this project his own. Jake's mama owl helped him by teaching him how to use a digital art program to move things around, color in his drawings and complete the book. He was a very fast learner.
